Frequently asked questions
Do you maintain servers you didn't install?
Yes. I start with a review of your existing Traccar server, fix anything risky, and then take over regular maintenance.
How often should Traccar be upgraded?
New releases add device protocols and bug fixes, so staying reasonably current is worth it. I review each release and upgrade when it's safe and useful for you, always with a backup first.
My Traccar database is huge and slow. Can you help?
Yes. Large position tables are the most common cause of slow reports and full disks. I can clean up old history in safe batches and set up a nightly job to keep it under control.
Can you fix a server that is down right now?
Yes, I take one-off rescue jobs as well as ongoing maintenance. Send me a WhatsApp message with what you're seeing.
Do I need to give you root access?
I need SSH access to do the work. I can use a separate user with sudo rights that you can remove at any time.
