What is included in the backup?
The full Traccar database (users, devices, settings and position history) and the server configuration, such as traccar.xml, so the platform can be rebuilt quickly.
Where are the backups stored?
Off your Traccar server, in storage you own: for example S3-compatible object storage, Google Drive or a second server.
My database is very large. Can it still be backed up daily?
Yes. We use backup methods that don't lock the database or slow down tracking, and can clean up very old history to keep backups small.
How fast can you restore?
It depends on the database size, but a tested restore process means your platform can be brought back quickly, on the same server or a new one.
Is this included in maintenance?
Yes. Daily tested backups are part of the Traccar maintenance service, or you can order backup setup on its own.
