Frequently asked questions
Can you add features without breaking Traccar upgrades?
Yes. Where possible we build features as separate services or through the API and webhooks, so you can keep upgrading Traccar. When a core change is needed, we plan how it will be carried forward.
Can you add support for my GPS tracker?
Usually, yes. If Traccar doesn't decode your device or some of its data, we can add or extend the protocol decoder.
Can you connect Traccar to my other systems?
Yes. We connect Traccar to ERP, billing, dispatch and customer systems using the Traccar REST API, websockets and event forwarding.
Do you work on servers you didn't set up?
Yes. We start with a quick review of your server and version, then build on what you already have.
Will I own the custom code?
